´Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation.´ (1 Peter 2:2, ESV)
In this figure of speech, Peter says that we – i.e., believers in Jesus - are like newborn infants who should long for pure spiritual milk, which is the word of God, in order that we might grow up into salvation.
This is what Christian Education is all about; helping believers to digest the word, which provides the nutrients for them to live spiritually healthy lives. The following explains how we seek to do this as a church.
We employ what we call our TLC strategy:
Teach people God’s word through study in classes.
Love people into God’s way through sharing in groups.
Connect people to God’s work through service in ministries.
Intersect is an Adult Bible Study program that is comprised of classes that are designed to give members a more in-depth look at various subject matters, which we have classified into Christian doctrine and Christian living.

The purpose for New Members Orientation is to teach people who have recently joined our church a few core beliefs of Christianity and to assist them in becoming familiar with our church’s DNA (i.e., mission, vision, core values, etc.).
For more information, email new@afmbc.org.
Noonday Bible Study (NBS) is held weekly on Wednesdays at 12:00 (noon). If you are looking to be a part of a verse-by-verse bible study that is interactive and lasts about one hour (and that even has homework assignments…on occasion), then Noonday Bible Study is for you.

Sometimes there are subjects that men can only talk about with other men. The place to do that is every 1st Saturday of each month (9:00 AM) at our Brother2Brother sessions.
Men are coming together and dealing with biblical topics in relevant ways and addressing current issues with open input. Brother2Brother is a place to hear from other men who face the challenges of being a Christian in today's culture.
For more information, email brother2brother@afmbc.org
Sisters meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM to celebrate together and support each other. The attire and the environment is relaxed, where you can come ready to have a spirit-filled time in the Lord and get connected with new sisters and reconnected with familiar ones.
The purpose of the Married Couples Ministry is to assist couples in building biblically functioning marriages that last a lifetime.
We seek to fulfill this purpose by periodically offering classes that deal with topics related to marriage and hosting Married Life Live - quarterly events that are designed to be fun, exciting, creative, and ultimately beneficial in helping couples strengthen their marriages.

Every Sunday, we take time out in our worship services to offer the opportunity for people to place their trust in Jesus as their Savior and Lord (and to subsequently be baptized), or to join our church.
As people respond during what we call the “Invitation,” we have people in place (called Decision Team Members) who will sit with them one-on-one, listen to what decision they are making, and then guide them in what steps need to be taken.
As a church, prayer is a priority. That is one of the reasons why we established an intercessory prayer ministry. The people who serve in this ministry are called "Prayer Warriors."
This ministry meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The Prayer Warriors also assist during The Gathering - our corporate prayer time as a church that is held on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.
